In bringing the ocean to the public art scene, Hilton hopes to share the inspiration from the sea and waves with people all around the world. His aim in painting large 101 perfect wave murals is to inspire people to to take part in environmental preservation and have a greater relationship with art. With the sheer awe of his vibrant creations comes a greater appreciation of our greatest water treasure and the power of art itself.
The project includes a world record mural depicting the famous Pipeline wave, which was completed in October of 2013. This mural is the largest wave mural in the world and located in Honolulu on the island of Oahu, Hawaii. To paint this huge wall of 5 floors high and 100 meters wide, the artist used about 150 gallons of paint and it took only five days of painting complete.

Since then, Hilton’s perfect waves have graced 11 more walls in 5 cities and across 3 different countries. He has creatively collaborated with 22 different companies, businesses and/or organizations, 6 different government agencies and/or schools and 5 different non-profit organizations to complete his first 12 murals. He is grateful for all of the support he has had in making this mural project become a reality and looks forward to working with more to complete the next 89 murals.
